The Gold River Stingrays are a summer competitive recreational swim team that participates in the NorCal Swim League. There are 5 divisions in this league and the Stingrays are aligned in the number two division called the Gold Rush Conference. Participation is for boys and girls ages 4 through 18 and the summer season runs from April 5 through July 31, 2010.
The Swim Team Mission is to engage swimmers in a competitive-recreational program by teaching proper technique and encouraging skill development in a supportive team environment. Our focus is in developing the child physically, mentally, and emotionally in a systematic fashion over time with the unwaivering goal that each swimmer will reach his or her maximum potential both in and out of the pool.
All of our coaches are certified members of the American Swim Coaches Association as well as United States Swimming and have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States.
Our Team Philosophy is described best with the words Perseverance, Commitment, Courage and Consistency. Our parents and athletes view swimming as an activity they will enjoy and participate in for life.
Our Team Vision is to create a unified multi level training environment that encourages, inspires, motivates and enables our young members to reach their fullest potential.
The Gold River Stingrays is run by its' elected Board of Directors which meets on a monthly basis. All members are welcome to attend each meeting and are encouraged to be involved in team activities.
