Now in her sixth season as
assistant coach, Stephanie is excited for another awesome year!
A transplant from Southern
California, she swam competitively for 12 years, as a member of the
Industry Hills Aquatic Club, reaching the Junior Olympic
level. She then captained her high school swim team and
competed at the Southern Section CIF meet. After high school,
Stephanie attended Sacramento City College where she swam and
played water polo. She was also named as a Scholar Athlete
two years in a row. At UC Davis she continued playing water
polo and graduated in 2008 with a degree in American
Studies.
Outside the pool, Stephanie is
kept busy. In addition to coaching you've probably seen her
behind the front desk or in the Play Center or Kids' Club. In
August of 2008, she married her college sweetheart,
Brandon. They live in Sacramento with their two cats Onyx and
Zora.

I am Katie
Bortoletto and have been a coach for the Stingrays for the
last five years. I grew up swimming and playing water polo at
Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks. I have coached a few
different teams since I started coaching in 2000. A year at Bella
Vista High School, three years at the Orangevale Tiger Sharks and
year at Hudson Aquatics. I have also been teaching lessons since
1996.
My husband Michael and I have two boys, Joey 5 and
Luca 3. We are very busy at our house! I love to be around the
pool. I have found that you can take the swimmer out of the pool
but you can’t get them off the deck! It is definitely true
for me. I look forward to another great season with all of you! Go
Stingrays!
